Hillcrest Baptist Church is The Fellowship of Love
We call ourselves “The Fellowship of Love.” We aim to love one another the way Jesus Christ has loved us. There are some days when we are better at doing that than others. No one here is perfect, so if you aren’t perfect, this could be just the right place for you too. The Gospel invites us to come just as we are and offers everyone forgiveness for sins and eternal life if you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Acts 2:42-47 describes a fellowship of believers who loves God and loves others and who are trying to make a difference in the world around them for the Glory of God. We believe a healthy church is characterized by Individual Believers who enjoy FELLOWSHIP with one another, grow in their relationship with Jesus through DISCIPLESHIP, serve the Lord joyfully in MINISTRY, love people in the community and beyond through MISSIONS, and who seek to WORSHIP God not only on Sunday mornings but in how they live their daily lives.
What We Believe
We are a Southern Baptist Church and we hold to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
- For almost 175 years, Southern Baptists have sought to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people everywhere.
- Southern Baptists love God and care about every person, wanting everyone to have an opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ so they can be forgiven of their sins and have eternal life.
- Southern Baptists work together to accomplish the Great Commission through the Cooperative Program.
- SBC entities like the North American Mission Board and International Mission Board are fully supported by the giving of Southern Baptists and send missionaries all over world.
