We are working through the book of Joshua on Sunday mornings. Joshua’s mentor Moses has died. Many enemies lie ahead as Israel crosses the Jordan to begin the conquest of the land. Joshua is young and now called by God to lead Israel. God tells Joshua to be strong and courageous promising that he will be with him wherever he goes. Joshua will find strength and courage as he trusts the Lord and studies, meditates on, and holds fast to the Word of God. The same is true for followers of Jesus today too. Jesus is the Word of God and he promises to be with us always to the end of the age.
